Solar costs at an all time low and return on investment around 12%!

Solar Panel installation costs are at an all time low. Now is certainly a good time to carry out a Commercial or Domestic installation.

Returns on your investment are over 12% in most cases but some are much higher.  The trend tends to be that the higher the kW installation the higher the return.

Commercial arrays have averaged £1000 per kW for the past few years, installations are now below this figure.

This week, our installers are busy putting up a 49 kW array on a new agricultural building in Worcestershire which will gain it’s owner a 16.2% return on their investment.pv

The Sun has got it’s hat on!

A clever customer of ours has just had her second Solar PV installation installed, having moved home and handed her previous Feed in Tariff over to the new occupants.

We have used 16 Seraphim 250w panels to give a 4kW peak and chosen an All Black panel to look aesthetically pleasing, our customer is very pleased with the result, we think they look pretty smart too!

Our favoured inverter is an SMA Sunnboy, a top of the market inverter that hasn’t once given us an issue over the years.

The cost of an installation is at an all time low and the Feed in Tariff is providing excellent returns on your investment…give us a call to find out more.

The Boss is in..

Trying very hard to get my work done today, Maisy has other ideas.

She’s been out on a site visit this morning so that Alun can quote for a boiler, kept an eye on the showroom, checked out the stock room, raided Stefan’s bin and is now chilling out on my desk!!

Busy day for a Cocker Spaniel.

We’ve met the RHI cuts once again!

With the Non domestic RHI being review each quarter, we find ourselves once again up against the end of quarter rush to install and submit the RHI application ahead of the end of quarter.

With the tariff due to digress tomorrow, Tuesday 31st March we’ve been working hard on site and in the office.

I am pleased to say we have completed all the RHI’s and installations with time to spare : )

Here’s some pictures of our boys at work offloading the equipment and piping the boiler to accumulator at a fruit farm in Herefordshire. They are having a HDG compact 199 kW boiler installed to heat their workers accommodation.

Another sensible customer taking advantage of the Non Domestic RHI!

We have a team in Malvern at the moment working on a Compact 200 Pellet boiler to heat a house, cottage and swimming pool.

I’m sure you will agree the boiler room is very impressive and looks incredibly smart clad in timber.

Works are underway and the installation will be finished with the system’s application submitted to the RHI team in plenty of time for the Tariff cut at the end of March. Don’t think Tariff cuts mean the scheme isn’t viable, the original payment was over generous and the return is still very attractive!

7 day diary of a Domestic Log Boiler Installation

Diary of an Installation – From our installers point of view

Day 1 – The boiler and equipment was delivered to site at 9am, we offloaded and positioned all of the equipment and checked with our customer that everything was okay and that he was happy – He was 🙂

We then prepared everything ready for the pipework.

Day 2 – Today we piped up the flow and return from the boiler to the accumulator. We then started the flow and return to the system pipework and fitted the flue starter kit ready to do the flue tomorrow.

Day 3 – We fitted the flue to the boiler and weathered in the Dektite to the roof, then started running drains around the room.

Day 4 – Today consisted of piping the mains feed and piping drains and PRV. We fitted the expansion vessel and changed the district pipework to a bigger size.  Our Electrician was busy wiring up the boiler.

Day 5 – We Piped the district to the existing heating pipework and fitted the 3 port valve to the existing so that the customer has a back up boiler on his system.

Alun visited site along with Steve Crowe and commissioned the boiler.

Day 6 – Today we cleaned up the site and boiler room and lagged all of the pipework.

Day 7 – The Final Day!! Handover of the boiler took place with the customer, he was given the handover folder and documents on the entire system, he was trained on the use of the boiler and is good to go.

Nice and easy and little fuss for the customer 🙂

A sneak peak of a day at the office!

Using our meeting room to spread the plans out…Alun even made a cup of tea whilst out there! As director he doesn’t think he has to do tea duty..as his daughter I tell him otherwise!!!
