Commissioning a Dual Fuel Boiler with Euroheat

Today Alun has been on site with Euroheat’s technician Adrien commissioning and handing over an SHT TDA Dual Fuel Biomass Boiler.

The SHT TDA is a Log and Pellet boiler.

Here Adrien can be seen giving the customer instructions on the use of her boiler.

We carry out most of our own commissioning but we are very lucky to have our suppliers locally for instances such as this one where a technology update for the boiler has just come out, instant re training is available to keep us up to date!

Preparing for the launch of the Domestic RHI

Some people are getting ahead of the game ready for the launch of the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive next Spring!

Domestic Biomass installations can already claim £2000.00 under the Renewable Heat Premium Payment but the government are due to launch the Domestic RHI which will pay you based on an average energy  usage figure for your property which is calculated through a Green Deal Assessment. You are then paid 12.2p per kW on this figure!

Last week saw our men busy installing a K Series Pellet boiler at a house in Herefordshire who previously spent the winters rather cold!

When the RHI launches governments announcements suggest that they will be paid on a figure of 27248 kW, at 12.2 p/kW this is £3324.25 for 7 years!!! That’s the installation paid for and a bit more!

Possibly Hereford’s greenest shopping village!

Efficient Energy Centre are back at The Hop Pocket Shopping Village this week, this time to install a 46.17 kW installation on the Shopping Village Roof, that is a whopping 171 panels!

This is the second of four arrays that we are carrying out for the Hop Pocket and with their Biomass Boiler, which we installed last year already up and running we believe they may well be Hereford’s greenest shopping village!

A few weeks of Sunshine is reminding the UK that we can have a summer!

This beautiful weather has meant that people are thinking about Solar a little more than usual, we do get a bit of summer after all!

Solar PV Panels work on sunlight so it doesn’t have to be an overly sunny day for them to be generating for you, but all systems are producing maximum amounts of electricity in this sunshine!

One of our Installation teams have been in Kington this week installing a 3.9kW domestic array of panels on a barn roof.

This 3.9 kW array of 15 x Hyundai 260w All Black Mono Panels will produce a minimum of 3318 kW per year, that’s a payback of £15,893.00 over the 20 year Feed in Tariff!
