Electric Vehicle charging points

We are now OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) registered installers of Rolec Electric vehicle charging points.

Using a petrol or diesel vehicle to get around is all we have ever known, so taking that leap to a car powered by electricity may, for some, appear to be a daunting prospect. But electric vehicle technology has now advanced so far, that the wide range of electric vehicles on the market means that most peoples’ driving requirements can be met.

You will find that nearly all mainstream car manufacturers offer an electric vehicle option, both mainstream and luxury car brands have advanced the electric car so it is now the car of the future.

No annual car tax and a huge potential saving on fuel, result in you saving money year after year.

If your electric car is also your company car, you will also make a saving on the benefit-in-kind tax you have to pay.

It’s a beautiful day on site

The sun is shining today, there are occasions our installers would perhaps prefer to be on the roof installing solar panels. I think today may be one.

The houses in Broadwas are coming along nicely, it’s Heat pumps, plumbing, electrical galore.

Fingers crossed for an equally beautiful weekend!

New houses with Heat Pumps

We’re currently working on a local building site of 10 houses. Installing full heating, plumbing and electrical systems.

The properties will be heated using Mitsubishi air source heat pumps.

Here are some pictures of our employees works in progress…

Preparing to build..

We renovated a small 1 bedroom house recently and we’re now preparing to build a 2 bedroom next door with solar panels & an air source heat pump.

Some of our installers have been turning their hand to landscaping this week, what a multi talented workforce we have!

Removing the hedge around the plot has certainly opened it up.

I will be updating the Blog with our progress so that you can follow our project : )

House Renovation Project

We have many skills and trades within our workforce so we started the year with a renovation project ahead of a new build on the plot next door.

We improved the properties EPC from a D to a C with simple improvements and completely overhauled the interior.

Our property is a 1 bedroom property, we started small and are rather pleased with the result.

Time to put it on the market! http://www.flintandcook.co.uk/properties-for-sale/property/5979197-ripon-walk-bobblestock-hereford

The Before

The After

Servicing Time

We don’t just install our renewables, we look after our customers after install also.

Our Biomass boilers are serviced every 1000-1200 run hours.

Looking after your Biomass is incredibly important, just like your car needs a service so does your boiler. Under the RHI obligations you have to have your boiler serviced so that it is working efficiently.

Owen our service engineer is servicing back to back at the moment after the winter period. It’s dirty, dusty work!

National Pipe Fitters of the Year!

We entered two of our Employees, Chris Tyler and Steve Crowe in Pipe Center’s Pipe Fitting competition to compete for the title of National Pipe Fitters of the Year….AND THEY WON!

George Fisher and Adey sponsored the event which was held on 3rd September at Gloucester Rugby Club.

The Men had to create a P and a C out of different pipe materials, carbon steel, plastic and ABS with different joints, fusion welds and ABS joints, and clip it up on a board with the correct tolerances. They were timed and then their work was judged on presentation, team work and quality.

They won their Regional heat despite the fusion welder provided being faulty and went on to win the National Final with a record breaking time, beating the competition by 2 minutes 40!

They were also the only team to tidy up after themselves, shows that Alun’s instance of tidiness is drummed into them.

The Men have worked for us since age 16, starting as Alun’s apprentices and are not 28 & 27.

We are very proud of our employees and it is great to see the whole teams hard work paying off.Photo 03-09-2015 23 01 51
