Our build is nearly complete..

You may have previously seen our renovation project and followed a few posts about our new build project, well we’re nearing completion.

Just the final touches left! Can’t wait to show you the finished job.

Solar installation in the rain.

The day started off nice and clear but it then decided to encourage our men to work a bit faster!

By 3pm the heavens had opened. Come on sunshine, these solar panels are ready for you!

A 6 kW installation on an industrial build in Rotherwas.

Poppy the pink Nestor Martin Stove is lit in time for Christmas

We had an unusual request recently – could we colour match a RAL colour and enamel two of our Nestor Martin Wood Burning stoves to RAL3015 and RAL7031.

We had to find specialist enamellers because powder coating or regular enamelling wouldn’t do on a stove due to the temperatures it reaches but we found a company we are now working with to offer this service going forward.

They colour matched the RAL colours for us and we took delivery of the RAL3015 yesterday and she has been installed in time for Christmas.

The customers daughter has called her Poppy – quite fitting! She is one of a kind!

Merry Christmas

Efficient Energy Centre would like to wish all of their customers, suppliers and co workers a very Merry Christmas!

Thank you all for your support in 2016 and we look forward to seeing you all in 2017.

On with the solar panels

Renewable energy solutions aren’t just the smart answer, they are essential to the new build market –

A SAP rating is required in order to produce a Predicted Energy Assessment and an On Construction Energy Performance Certificate.

Building Regulations require that a SAP calculation and a Predicted EPC is submitted for new dwellings prior to the commencement of work.

A SAP calculation indicates a score from 1 to 100+ for the annual energy cost based on:

  • The elements of structure
  • Heating and hot water system
  • Internal lighting
  • Renewable technologies used in the home.

The higher the score the lower the running costs.

SAP calculations allow comparison to be made of the energy running costs of dwellings anywhere in the UK. This is achieved because the calculations are predominantly location independent and are based upon a notional standard occupancy that overcomes variations associated with physical location and the differing ways in which people utilise their homes.

We have included in roof Solar PV panels on our build which will provide the house with electricity bringing down their dependency on the national grid and non renewable sources.
