Dunfield House, A group accommodation and family retreat centre in Kington, Hereford have had their Energy Cabin delivered and the install of their HDG Compact 200 Pellet boiler is underway!
Dunfield offers excellent facilities for youth, schools education and family groups to meet together and run their own programmes. They offer a fully catered service for 25 – 90 and self catering for up to 25 people in their stables accommodation all of which is soon to be heated by the biomass system!
Huws Gray, the new builders merchants in Hay on Wye are currently having their second Efficient Energy Centre install completed!
Having already installed an energy cabin with a Compact 200 pellet boiler to heat their retail area and warehouse, they are now having a Navora log boiler to heat their stove, kitchen & bathroom showroom and offices.
All of which will be earning them money on the Commercial Renewable Heat Incentive for the next 20 years!
It’s Official! Efficient Energy Centre offices and showroom have finally moved into our new showroom. 2 Harrow Road, Plough Lane, Hereford, HR4 0EH.
The showroom is not yet complete, but keep an eye out for our grand opening at the beginning of April!
Oh it is nice to have a window in the office 🙂

The new showroom is coming along very nicely indeed, it’s all hands on Deck, my Nephew Sammy even popped in to lend a hand installing the new Navora!

An Efficient Energy Centre’s Biomass installation is to become the subject of a new Haynes manual on installing Biomass in a domestic property. Our installation has been watched and photographed step by step and this week we are working on editing the text with the Author.
We are flattered to have been asked to be the focus of one and look forward to it being published later in the year!
What a busy January! On top of the day to day running of the business, we currently have our new showroom under construction!
We aren’t moving far, just around the corner (in April) but it’ll be bigger and BETTER!!
With the launch of the Domestic RHI fast approaching this Spring we have designed our new showroom to meet our customers needs.
You will be able to come in and see a boiler room set up, one for Log, one for pellet and one for an SHT TDA combined Log and Pellet system, but not just a demo system, it will all be working!
We believe we will have the best Renewables showroom in the Midlands.
It is all extremely exciting and coming along so quickly now, we’ll be holding an open day for you all on a Saturday in April so keep an eye out in the Hereford Times as to when this will be 🙂
Efficient has been the word of the week as well as our name this week, our men have been installing underground pipe on a farm in Ballingham ready for their Biomass C200 kW Woodchip Boiler install in the new year.
The trenches needed filling in before the rain arrived and with that forecasted for the weekend the guys were working quicker than ever.
The C200 kW boiler will be providing heating and hot water to the farmhouse and offices as well as being used for the process of drying woodchip – all whilst being paid by the Renewable Heat Incentive!

November has bought with it the cold weather and due to the nature of the business it also brings our busiest period!
Our men are working hard out in the cold installing boiler after boiler and getting solar panels up before any snow dares to show it’s face whilst we might be nice and warm in our office with the Wood Burning stove keeping us at a nice 25 degrees but it’s certainly not a time to be relaxing, I think I go to sleep at the moment hearing the phone ring, I even answer my personal phone with ‘Hello Efficient Energy Centre’.
Not that I am complaining, well done everyone for coming to the realisation that renewables are the way forward 🙂

Apart from the occasional wander to the office for a drink of water he barely moves all day! Doggy Heaven!
Our Installation team are installing a Compact 100 kW Woodchip boiler this week. Already you can see the boiler room taking shape, with the equipment all in place and they are now piping the boiler to accumulator, the pipework to the district.
Owen is connecting the district heat exchanger to the system. This system will supply heating and hot water to the main house and the industrial units accommodating http://www.oakleafgates.co.uk/ a local company who design, create and install the highest quality oak gates and oak garage doors.
