A family run business, Alun & Kate Matthews with daughter, Sophie, we have over 30 years experience in Herefordshire in providing heating solutions, with the accreditation’s to prove the quality of our team. In a fast changing consumer market we keep our team of installers and all of our office staff fully trained in the very latest products and techniques as customers look for greener solutions.
Previously registered as A W Matthews Heating & Plumbing Engineers Ltd, we have updated our company name to Efficient Energy Centre (Hereford) Ltd to reflect the work we do.
MCS registered for Biomass Boilers, Solar Photovoltaic and Air Source Heat Pumps and fully HETAS Accredited. We have our own NAPIT accredited Electrician.
Mitsubishi Accredited installers for Air source heat pumps, the local agent for Zero-Biomass, HDG boilers (biomass) and we are Tesla Powerwall Approved installers.

We have live installations of all of our technologies, the biomass boiler rooms are built to accurately show you what an installation would require and can advise you and provide you with information to take away on all technologies and relevant grants and payment schemes.
Our showroom is designed as an educational tool for our customers to help us make sure that you really understand the technologies we are offering and we hope you all enjoy making use of it.
